Park Hyatt Tokyo

Shinjuku, Tokyo, Japan··25 July 2026

You know a hotel is special when it’s famous from a movie and still manages to exceed expectations.

The Room

47th floor. Floor-to-ceiling windows. I woke up to Mount Fuji peeking through the clouds. The room itself is understated — clean lines, warm wood, deep bathtub. It doesn’t scream luxury, it whispers it.

The Highlights

The New York Bar on the 52nd floor is everything. Jazz, city lights, cocktails that cost as much as dinner somewhere else — but the atmosphere is worth every yen.

The pool — an indoor infinity pool on the 47th floor with views over Shinjuku. I swam laps at midnight. Surreal.

The Downside

Price. There’s no way around it — this is a splurge. And the breakfast, while beautiful, was underwhelming for the cost.

The Verdict

4 stars because the experience is unforgettable, but it’s not a place you’d stay every trip. Save it for a special occasion and it’ll be one of those nights you never forget.
