Japan was the trip that changed how I travel. From the moment I landed in Tokyo, I knew this wasn’t going to be just another holiday.
First Impressions
The efficiency hits you first. Trains that run to the second. Streets that are impossibly clean. People who bow to say thank you. It’s a country that runs like clockwork but somehow still feels deeply human.
The Highlights
Tokyo is a sensory overload in the best way — Shibuya crossing at night, the quiet side streets of Shimokitazawa, and the fish market at dawn.
Kyoto is where time slows down. Walking through the bamboo grove in Arashiyama felt like stepping into another century.
Osaka is where you eat. And eat. And eat some more. The street food scene here is unmatched.
The Verdict
Japan earns its 5 stars not because it’s perfect, but because it’s perfectly itself. Every corner has a story. Every meal is an experience. Every train ride is a view.
Would I go back? I’m already planning the next trip.
